Grant - proof of 3 yrs of residency - how?

With regards to getting the grant from the local authority -

I'm struggling to figure out how to prove that I've been here for 3 years out of the last five.

I've been told "utility bills" but who keeps their utility bills for years? I doubt I have much in the way of bank statements either.

How else can I do it?

Tax Documents

You can also order a copy of your bank statements - but there are charges for that.

Or if you have e-bills, you should still have them online for say your mobile phone or utility bills.

Thanks - never occurred to me to get tax documents - better get cracking!

You can just ring the tax office and ask them to send out P21 for 2007,2008 and 2009.
