Simple enough question. Thought it would be interesting to see has anyone played with the stars out there.

Played 9 holes with Brad Faxon in Newport, RI back in 1998. They had a caddy competition for all those caddying for the summer which I won so the prize was 9 holes with Brad. Nice guy, unbelievable short game. Signed his glove and gave it to me after.

Was that Batt Murphy? How much did he charge you?

Peter Lawrie closely followed by Andrew Hogan.

Played with both a good few times with Andy as he's a mate of mine and went to school with him for a good 6 years.

I've played with Lawrie twice(27 holes) due to events such as past pupils tournaments both in school and uni. Tee to green he was fantastic. Shot -4 at the Castle GC in the 18 holes I did play with him. Left many out there too.

    My Brother :D

He's just a phenomenal iron player, as well as having a great all round game and since I play with him a good bit I get a lot of instruction out of watching his shots

I played a Pro/Am with Ken Brown, BBC commentator and ex European Player, in Portmarnock in '03. I got the gig thru some corporate gig then. He was well retired at that stage, but was still a phenomenal golfer. The one thing I noticed about him, was how soft he hit the irons. They were flushed every time.

He's an absolute cnut, glad to see he hasn't broke through to the big time and ain't surprised as his unfriendly sour demeanor has no place on the course!

hes a quiet guy, keeps himself to himself. doesnt hit any spectacular shots, but doesnt hit any bad ones either!! he's very boring, fairway, green, 2 puts, then 3 or 4 one putts!! Although i think he perfers fishing to golf!!lol

Played with Robert Rock last year at the Welsh open PRO am about 2 weeks after he was beaten in the playoff with Shane Lowery.

He holed out with a 4 iron that day and also hit fab shot with driver off the fairway on par 5 on back 9.

    Pleasure to watch.

Raymond Burns in the Leinster Boys in the early 90's. He was the next best thing in Irish Golf. Honestly thought he was going to be a huge success as a pro

    Jesper Parnevik down in Ballybunion.

Played 6-7 holes with him in 1998 as he lived in my Dad rented house number years back and were good friends.

Nice fella and gave my some nice gear and that famous hat of his. I looked like complete tool going round my local club with cap but I did not care.:pac:

I played well too actually beat him in one hole.

Stephen Gallacher a good few years ago in a pro am in the K club. Lovely fella , bigger hitter ranked no. 8 for driving distance in Europe at the time but something like 165 in putting. I see he has got the putting right at last this year with the thick putter grip. Hope he does well.

I played with Wayne Grady a couple of times in the early 80s. He was a friend of a friend who was also a tour pro. I remember being fairly unimpressed for a while until I realised that I was watching a really good player plotting his way around and making zero mistakes. He was scary good around the green too in the same sort of understated way.

My brother, best player in the world, doesn't want to go pro as he doesn't want to spend too much time away from his family.*

*This of course is total lies but he's also the only player I can beat so I want to believe that he's the best player in the world so I'm better :)
