Buying and Ipad in the US or the UK

    Hi

I'm looking to get an Ipad - think the best option will be the 32 GB 3G.

Thing is I'm going to London in 2 weeks, and have family going to America next week.

Obviously it will work out cheaper in the States but is there any downside to buying over there, to be used here?

They are scarce in some stores the the States, the Apple store in Orlando were out completely 4 weeks ago when I was there but I did stumble across one in camera store of all places on International Drive.

If your family don't find one in the 1st week your best bet is to try and get one yourself the airport, (Dixons) as some reports in the forum have said they're difficult to pick up in London too.

I have a US model the only downside is that you get a US USB power adapter ( obviously )
