I need to get the wheels balanced on my Hi Lux. The tyres are 33x 12.5 x 15. Car tyre places cant balance them as they are too big. Can anyone suggest a place , pref south Dublin that could do the job please ??

    Thank you.

    Dave

Got balance beads in my BFG MTs on the 110 and they work well. Only time I have a problem is if you hit a big pothole at speed and it upsets them until you stop and let them sort themselves out!

I think the tyre fitter had never handled such big tyres (255/75R16, about 34" dia) and tried to put multiple layers of weights on which all fell off within a day or so. I got the beads from a place in Scotland and inserted them through the valve stems. There is a chart somewhere telling you how many to use for a given size of tyre but it's not much. Some people use 6mm ceramic airsoft bb pellets, these have be put in while the tyre is off the rim.

Thanks boys. I might give the beads a go.
