I've known just by general word of mouth when different operating systems were ended. I just found this page on microsoft which has a detailed table on the whole thing. Obviously vista and win7 are not mentioned yet.

    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/lifecycle/default.mspx

While not terribly noteworthy, it might clear up any questions people have on definite dates or between different versions and oem or not etc.

just keep in mind that some popular versions of windows have had their support extended in the past.

popular with corporate customers that is , consumers don't count :(

If you go to this index page you can find the support lifecycles for any Microsoft product.

Personally, I find it hilarious that XP Professional will have its support end 2 years after the consumer editions of Vista. In a "funny peculiar" sort of way :|.

Actually I'd like to know what % of the corporate copies of XP that are still running are downgrades from Vista ;)
