I have two Dualshock 3 that i got in Japan when they came out, but this week both R2 buttons on the two weren't springy any more, with nothing to loose i opened up the first one and the spring could be seen and it was snapped.
In the first controller i replaced the spring from a old broken six axis but the second i had to made it from the spring in a pen, i could have used a spring from an old floppy disk but couldn't find one and wouldn't buy one.

Anyone else having this problem its an easy fix and a common spring from a pen will be much stronger, but some advice if your looking at a guide they say to remove the whole content of the controller to get a the bumper buttons, you don't need to and only need to open the case and remove the plastic with the R2 or L2 on it.

Hehe, fair play. Good to see you didn't just throw them out and buy new ones.
