    Just watching this now.
    What a great film.
The way Martin and Caine play off each other.
    The endless chicanery.
    The unexpected ending.
Some of the scenes are priceless- Steve Martin trying to remember the name in the jail cell, Ruprecht, Caine as Prof Shaufhausen whipping poor Steve Martin's knees to assess feeling is just so funny and never gets old.
    Any fans here.

I presume you mean Caine as opposed to Caan?

Spelling aside,DRS is a hugely enjoyable comedy,Martin has rarely been better in my humble.

I remember watching this with my family when I was a kid.
We all erupted when Martin was playing the disabled brother and asked if he could go to the bathroom, then after a few seconds said 'thank you' without having left the table (ie shat his pants)

    Still my favourite bit :D

Yep dunno why i spelled it Caan tbh :)
Martin is great but it's also one of Caine's funniest performances as well- the way he effortlessly bull****s his way out of stuff, his stuffiness vs Martin's coarseness, his hilariously good German accent.

Oh Please! Martin was brilliant in Parenthood & LA Story!

Really like DRS but I prefer the Jerk as a perfect example of early Martin Gold!

Great movie - saw it in the cinema when I was 10, and never got the humour, saw it a few years back and was sore from laughing. Rupret the monkey boy is hilarious!
