Nuimsu.com is currently down. Over the weekend I'll be sticking up an interim site until the professional site is finished. It is purely temporary and nothing like the finished article. It's there purely to tie us over. And it lacks most of the functionality of the professional site.

I started properly on the interim site last week, spent the following days on other projects and decided this afternoon to put it live. It basically just does news. It will be at nuimsu.com sometime over the weekend (Monday at latest, all going well) but you can see it in it's almost-ready stage at nuimsu.com/blog/

We have high expectations for the professional site.

I'd put it up properly tonight, but it's 8pm on a Friday and I need to get out of the office an go visit Barleybooley, who has been very understanding about all this

Suggestions for this and the finished site are super welcome.

The one up now is a generic wordpress theme.
The previous site was actually designed for the SU.

If I may make a suggestion - Get the clubs and socs information up as soon as possible, this is the time of year when new students will be thinking about what they want to join.

If I am really being picky, change the background of the Maynooth SU logo to either transparent or the same shade of grey as on the background of the site.

Overall, it is a good job though

THAT DAMNED LOGO is just refusing to have a transparent background. It's really my fault - I gave it a transparent background but for some reason it still is white, keep meaning to figuring out how to fix it.

Bleugh. I'll just do it now. Some Sunday...

Possibly change where it says C&S in the top bar and on the main page half way down to say Clubs & Socs, I keep reading C&S like computer science <<< really nit picking though the site looks fantastic.

Edit: Although Clubs & Socs may be to large for the the featured news section by news and national :cool:

Em, perhaps you could have, eh, a maybe just a little, um, section, kind of sort of you know dedicated to um, campus gossip? It's just that Closer only comes out once a week and eh, I need my fix...or would an alumnus such as myself have a say?
