    Hi All.

Play off 9. Found an old Titleist 52deg oil can vokey wedge in the shed and gave it a run recently. More than impressed with the spin it generates and the stop on the firm greens at the moment.

Had a close look at my 60deg wedge and noticed the grooves are really worn down and i'm getting no action whatsoever from it so decided to buy a new one.

Looking for a 60 deg that will generate spin from the full shots and a nice bit of check from around the greens. Willing to spend 100 euro or so.

Has anyone bought something recently that matches that description?

    Any reply greatly appreciated.

Why don't you try to pick up a 2nd hand Vokey 60 degree since you like the 52degree?

bought 2 wedges recently,a 52 deg Callaway Jaws,it's a beut, nice check but amazing feel and weight, can't obviously comment on the 60 deg model,i also bought a new ping wedge(prior to the Callaway),also very good and for a lw it's very good off the turf for full shots if ur into that.

Sounds good HB. Did you buy the chrome version or the dark version?

    Hi,
Try any of the MD wedges have the superstrong myself and find them great.

not for a 9 hcp'r though, very poor shaft in the MD's,which is of paramount importance, that said whatever suits,

Went with the jaws wedge from Callaway. Gave it his debut out in Castleknock today. Played there last week too and had a few of the same shots. Noticed the difference big time when they hit the greens. I was always short or long though but thats just a bit of getting used to. Was really impressed with it around the greens also.

    Thanks for the tip HB.

no hassle,i love the weight of the club,so well balanced and that shaft is a beut,it's great to luck forward to chip shots again,i don't find it as zippy as the cleveland i used to have but i find i'm getting a much more consistant strike off it,
