Recruitment agencies worth going to?

    Is it really worth my while handing in CVs to recruitment agencies for temp office work anymore?

    Today I went into Adecco (who got me my last full time job in 2006, which I stayed in for 2 years) to hand in a CV. Well, the place was deserted. Just the receptionist twiddling her thumbs and one other person in a fairly big office. I was told they don't take CVs and to email it to this email address and you may or may not be contacted. From what I could make out, they only had one actual contract??

    Is it worth my while going to different agencies, has anyone got any temp work off them recently?

    There is no harm in sending your cv to as many as possible. the wider your net the higher the chance of getting a job

    At least by emailing your c.v you wont be wasting paper because thats all you will be doing if you give it to them in there office or post it

    unless you want to spend the next few weeks going to pointless interviews with recruitment agencies that more than likely have nothing to offer you and are just looking to fill their books and thier own time sheets.

    I wouldn't bother!
