    Hiya,
Doing my first tri next Saturday in Carrick on Suir. Question is, do you need a race belt, I had ordered one from Wiggle, they sent a timing chip belt instead and when I sent it back they refunded me instead of exchanging the item. Just afraid if I reorder today will it be here in time.

I use one and imo i think they are ideal but they are not essential. You could just pin the number on the front and back of your trisuit/top. They should sell them in most sport shops.

Most races will give you two numbers, so you don't need a race belt... that said a few races this year only gave out one number, anyone without a belt was told to pin it on their back.
