Lol don't... I have been playing for over 25 years, and only about 5 items there were bought new. I probably only spend a couple of hundred Euro a year on equipment (and ask for specific mic's or whatnot at Xmas). You can pick up some amazing bargains if you wait and are lucky.

U put more thought in than I have anyway thats for sure. Im just using my slightly modded PC and a free copy of Ableton lol :)
Is it worth keeping an eye on adverts.ie for bargains? Ive had a look a few times but nothing very good has ever crossed my eyeline.

Absolutely, i have picked up (for example)

line 6 Pod Pro (the expensive rack unit versions) for 50 Euro for the bass one, and 100 Euro for the guitar one..

Pearl Export kit with 4 toms (3 mounted 1 floor), snare, bass drum, high hat, 2 Paiste cymbols and all hardware for 395 Euro

Bogey 4x8 Guitar cab (in mint condition) for 50 Euro

and tons of other cheap stuff :)

I've no photo's of my current studio/workstation as I've just gotten setup in a new house but there is a MBox, 2 X Yamaha HS80s, MacBookPro running ProTools and Reaper, couple of mics and stand.

For now here's some of my guitar gear.

That's an IKEA rug under the pedal board and it's got incredible sound dampening. My room isn't treated, yet, but it's not bad and it was much worse before that rug. €99, not bad eh? And, yes, that's a holy sock!!
