Honeymoon - BP Oil Spill

    Hello

First off do not think me fickle - I appreciate the environmental factors, but this thread is more about the day to day practicality.

We are getting married in November and were considering Cuba or Mexico for our honeymoon.

We are however concerned now about the oil spill - I know in Florida the oil is coming up on the beaches...... as we are after an idyllic setting, this would be horrendous.

Can anyone advise the extent of the oil in the Gulf of mexico?

It's only reaching the American coastline so unless you're going to those southern states (e.g. Texas I think??) then you are ok, e.g. Bahamas haven't been affected, perhaps if you are worried you could go for more southern / western / eastern carribbean, maybe St Lucia / Bermuda / southern Mexico (think Cabo San Lucas area) rather than the side that Cancun is on.
