IPanema Vs Havianas Flip Flops?

Hey all, so I'm toying with the idea of buying a decent pair of flip flops that will last and have always had my eye on Havianas, but recently I came across a brand called IPanema which seems to be a similar style and construction.

What I'd love to know is if anyone has had experience of both and which is more comfortable and durable.

    Thanks in advance!

I haven't ever worn Haviaiana flip flops, but did post a recent thread about them here:

However, I bought a pair of Ipanena ones last year and love them. They are really comfy and have a slightly thicker sole than regular flip flops so they offer really good support. I have worn them a huge amount and they are still as good as new. Debenhams stock them and they are round the €25 mark. It's pricey, but they are worth it as I have spent a fortune on crappy flip flops that cut my feet after 5 mins. These are similar to the ones I have, they have an extra strap around the ankle, so are nice and secure

Though mine are slightly different, they have the normal flip flop thong at the top. The above ones look lovely and comfy, think I may have to purchase ;).

Havinanas are lovely too, bought a pair in Bali one year and they are the most comfortable flippy flops ever :)

+1 for Havinanas...have a few pairs and I live in them...sooo comfy. I wear them all summer and wear them in winter in the house instead of slippers:D

I have the Ipanema ones, got them on sale in Barratts for €9 (there's still loads left) in the red and white colours. They're really comfy and supportive and judging from how they're branded, I think they're supposed to be the cheaper version of Havianas. In saying all that, I haven't tried the Havianas so I can't really compare :)

Just wanted to add about the Ipanema, they are made of a more flexible rubber than any flip flip I have ever worn, so they are really flexible and easy to walk in. Nothing worse than hard foam flip flops that are like walking with planks of wood attached to your feet. These are the exact ones I bought,

They are more sandal than flip flop I suppose, but they are really comfy.

Thanks for tha Barretts tip Michellenman... /runs off to Barretts website to check them out :)

Thanks all, got a pair of Slim Havianas yesterday in the Havianas shop in Marseille, reduced to €15, delighted with them!

I have both. The Ipanemas I have are from the anatomical range, so the sole is moulded to the shape of your foot. Havianas are pretty comfy, but the Ipanemas are way better. I love them. They're not a cheaper brand btw, Gisele Bundchen does a line of fancy flipflops for them, but I've never bought any of those.
