    Hi All,

Myself and my friend have flights booked into Bordeaux but we are finding it hard to make an itinerary from there. We are on a budget and looking to travel around and not stay in one place for a week. We have 2 weeks altogether and we're flying home from Barcelona. Any suggestions for places to stay place as we're struggling to book accommodation. Ideally a maximum of €30 each per night.

    Thanks,
    Kaz

The cheapest hotel chains will charge €35 pp for a double-room (check out the chain called "Formula 1").

These will be outside of towns so you'll probably need a car to get to them.

The dirt-cheap 1-star hotels that will be within your budget and also be in the actual towns are unlikely to have much of a web presence. You may have to rely on finding them when you're actually in the country.

Will you be travelling by train or car ?

Campsites? They're pretty great in France. You'll be able to get a really nice mobile home for less than €60 a night.

Ponster you are definitely right about the web presence I thought there would be a lot more good websites. We were hoping to do it by public transport so we can indulge in glasses of wine whenever we choose :) a car is starting to look like a necessity though :(
We are definitely open to campsites but all the websites I found have the minimum rental period as a week in July.
I will definitely check out Formula 1 hotels.
So do ye think it wouldn't be that much of a risk to just arrive and sort it out when we get there?
Any recommendations for particular towns or villages.

    Thanks,
    Kaz
