Am I entitled to anything?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

I finished college 4 weeks ago and am currently working part time in the CIty Center of Dublin. At present I am only working a 9 hour day per week and get paid for 7.5 of that. I am unsure if I am entitled to anything from the social welfare, I have asked for more hours in work and believe me I do not want to claim benefits unless I have to, but money is indeed getting tight on my current wage as I am only getting paid monthly.

    Thanks for the help.

If you are only working part time and less than four days a week then you may be entitled to some social welfare, it would be dependant on your PRSI contributions to date for Job Seekers Benefit (Casual) not sure how it works for Job Seekers Allowance.

Its a hard one to know, and looking at it now this probably belongs in "State Benefits" section.

Pm the mods and they will move it for you, people there are much better placed to advise you :)

You should contact your local SW office anyways as they will know.
