    Just another story??

    Kubica would welcome Raikkonen
Robert Kubica says he would welcome Kimi Raikkonen as a team-mate at Renault next year if the squad lures the 2007 world champion back from rallying to Formula 1.

He's not missed from the sport imo. Although a Raikkonen with something to prove in F1 would be interesting to watch.

You'd think the day before the start of the British GP weekend the journos would have actual news to publish.

Imagine if one of the Red Bull drivers win this year's championship we could be looking at having 6 World Champions on the grid next year!

I heard last week about some pointless link between Raikkonen and Renault because of a proposed Nokia/Renault link up (Finnish company and all that), nothing came of it and I can almost guarantee that this was just a (probably Finnish) journalist grasping at any kind of scoop, and Kubica just let him down easy.

I think a driver that is on the grid now should get the seat, saying that Petrov is getting better as he goes.

The head people at Renault are looking at every way possible to keep their costs down (including ditching the F1 team eventually I suspect) so I couldn't see them agreeing to pay the salary Raikkonen would demand.

Unless this much rumoured sponsorship deal with Mastercard comes about.

I agree with Lord Lucan, he's not missed at all. Raikkonen with something to prove was an amazing spectacle (if not an interviewers nightmare) and after he won the world championship he didn't have anything to prove and seemed to lose interest.

Anyway, Renault are making noises about Sebastian Buemi at the minute. A far cheaper option methinks.

Amazing how Massa was better than Kimi last year and is being doubted himself this year.
    Car not suiting maybe??
I still say Put Kimi in a winning car and he would light the track up.
He needs to be going fast to have fun.;)

Christ I hope Citreon have kept alot of money for spare parts! At the rate he is going it would be cheaper for Citreon to get into F1 than to keep him in rally car.

Was it Martin Whitmarsh told Ferrari to build Kimi and ultra fast Tractor to make it last him :D

As far as i know Red Bull are funding it. Citreon supply the car and spares. Anyway every time he crashes out he gets loads of photos of car and sponsors logos all over the media, probably more than an average finishing in a rally.

you dont half talk bull anyway how can you see sponsors logos when the car is upside down and all you'll see sump and diff gaurds anyway that is not how it works its bad pr when your driver is wrecking the car all the Time, doesnt look good a badly wrecked car and your logos sitting there it gives out the wrong message in these days of been PC,
there is nothing confirmed for the Citroen Junior team Next year,Citroen may only Run three DS3's and disolve the Junior team as they may not have enough DS3's to go round.
