Electrolysis / Dermatologist ?

    Hey.
I've searched this forum a bit but can seem to find any returning replies just enquirers. I'm male and i seem to get hair on my face above the shaving region and i thread/tweez is out every weekend, but it grows back [same length and strength] and it effects my confidence alot and i cant go out weekdays, its just a pain.
Laser seems to be temporary, while the hair is dark, my skin is not that pale so i do not want to take any risks. I'm looking for a great electrolysis treatment center, some where professional, i've read that the new gel/electric treatment, TE does not appear to be permanent ? does any one have any info on this?

anyway i'm looking for some where professional, which would require me to see a dermatologist first or are high qualified, money is not an option really, if they dont treat it right, scaring etc can occur, so need to be careful.

To see a dermatologist, you need to get a referral letter from your GP. Then you need to get on a waiting list for one - the good ones can take months (private) - you'd be waiting a fairly long time if you're going public. The consultation fee is usually around €200 for the first visit.

Laser isnt temporary, its just that the hormones on the face are different to that of the body so there might be some re-growth. However it will definitely get rid of some of it. There are places doing deals at the moment, I'd say you could get a course of 6 treatments for around €300. I always felt electrolysis was a waste of time however as you know, everyones experience differs !!! I had laser done on my face and was happy with the end results, I'm not sure if it would be the same for a man. You should talk to a therapist and see what she says. Good luck.
