Sabotage Games

Is it just me or does anyone even try to play Sabotage? Everytime I'm in a game of it everyone seems to be trying to get kills and no attempt it made to plant the bomb. Very annoying when you're the only one trying.

Its been along time since i played that game mode for that very reason.

That seems to be about 75% of the Sabotage games I go into. Everyone just looking for kills and killstreaks so that they can absolutely rape the other team during sudden death at the end.

Then the other 15% is all about the quick plant, and the final 10% are a proper good-length game where the bomb is actually picked up and moved around.

HAHAHA Yes man! I only play TDM and tried to pass some bomb related challenges so when into a game of sabotage. Airport level. I see I have to protect that guy over there who has the bomb, ok, lets do this buddy!. No, no...the target is that way, what are you doing???? Oh, you got camo on and a sniper rifle so you are camping behind a plant....

I waited for about a minute and watched him kill one person and no sign of him moving from the spot. Why bother play sabotage?? hahah

I left and will never return.

In a bad game of Sabotage, it seems like all the other team try to get the objective done, while all my team just looks for kills. I remember one game in Invasion, there was me and one other guy on my team doing most of the bomb work (I ended up getting most defusals). When we eventually got the bomb to their site, he got the plant, then I could hear him on the mic yelling something along the lines of "get your useless asses up here and help cover the bomb, killstreaks don't matter now!". I think one other person joined us to cover, the others looked pretty stationary on the map.

Getting a good game of Sabotage is very hard, its usually the way that one team will camp around and defend their objective and trying rack up kills leaving the other team to either pick them off or try plant.

I love a good game of Sabotage but its hard to find one.

I remember a few weeks back. the stimilus pack was just out and I ran striaght for the bomb in Overgrown, had support from a mte and we planted and ended the game within 40 seconds, nearly everyone who had a mic was giving out over it, surely the objective is to win the game aand not look to get 40+ kills.

Still, i enjoy it when you get a good game, but the majortity of the time its full of people looking to up there K/D rate.

I used to always play this way in CoD4 often ended games quite quickly, now i just play Domination on MW2. It sucks because very few people care about anything other than kills in this game.

I only play sabotage these days and find that the games, although yes they often resemble TDMs at times, are more often than not focused on bomb-planting for sure. Saying that everybody camps in most of the matches is BS.

My most played game mode since COD4. Previously went on 82 COD4 playing Sabotage. Nothing better than winning a match in a minute and the abuse the follows is great

That sounds fun. Fill me in on the tips and tricks to it, I saw your win streak is something like 50/60, epic.

TBH mate it says 64 I think but that's because I had to quit one game because I had to answer the phone. Couldn't keep ignoring my gf at the time and her incessant calls

To say I was gutted is an understatement

I continued on from the next game with the party but we eventually lost at 82. I still like to say it's 82 :pac:

Probably the most fun I had playing COD.

Have you a mic? I've never played sabotage besides when it comes up in rotation in Resurgence / Stimulus Maps. I'll need a bit of coaching. Sure just invite me when you're up for it.

Well it's not every game is bad, but a bad game tends to be horrendous. A good game is brilliant fun though. A game that is really back and forth, maybe with multiple defusals is pretty exciting. Though that can be quickly ended if it goes to Sudden Death, then someone takes out nearly the entire other team with a Pred Missile (I've done that before, got the pred with about 10 seconds to go, didn't bother using it cause I saw that it wouldn't get anyone realistically. 4 people on the other team all ran the same way, got them. One started hurling abuse, and another just ragequit)

Just had a match there on Wasteland. Went the full distance.

Had a UAV, AC130 and Pavelow just over 5 minutes before Sudden Death. Took a chance and kept them just for that.

Sudden death was over in 30 seconds :pac:

Had a game on Estate last night. Was getting very near the end and based on the class setups the enemies were using I wasn't sure how well Sudden Death would go.

Pick up my 5 streak (Sentry), got a sixth, and was really hoping I could pick up a 7th for Harriers since I wasn't sure what the enemy would throw against us in the end. Didn't get it though.

Sudden Death starts, one enemy comes barrelling down to our spawn. Tear him down, and to my surprise am awarded my Harriers!
Match ended about twenty seconds later :P
