Its nearly that time again, Dermot Weld time.

    Last 4 years at Ballybrit
    2006 17 runners 7 wins, 8 placed 2 unplaced

    win 11/8 win 15/8 win 9/2 place 7/1 win 2/7 place 3/1 place 2/1
    place 4/1 win 2/1 place 4/1 place 11/4 place 20/1 place 10/1 win 4/7 win 5/1
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
    2007 14 runners 4 winners 9 placed 1 unplaced

    place 10/3 win 12/1 place 11/8 place 4/5 place 11/8 place 10/1
    place 12/1 win 7/2 place 7/1 win 6/1 place 7/2 win 2/1 place 3/1
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
    2008 21 runners 9 winners 11 placed 1 unplaced

    win 8/1 win 4/1 win 7/1 place 8/1 win 2/1 win 2/1 place 2/1 place 2/1
    win 3/1 place 2/1 win 6/1 place 7/1 place 6/1 place 7/4 place 8/11
    win 2/1 place 6/4 place 11/8 win 2/1 place 8/11
    -----------------------------------------------------
    2009 28 runners 8 winners 13 placed 7 unplaced

    win 10/1 win 4/9 win 8/1 win 11/2 win 8/15 win 5/4 win 2/1 win Evens
    placed 7/2 placed Evens placed 9/1 placed 2/1 placed 9/4 placed 4/7
    placed 4/7 placed 8/11 placed 5/1 placed 9/4

2009 was relatively speaking dissapointing with 7 unplaced and several shorties just falling short. Conditions last summer were particuarly testing as far as I recall.

I guess one policy to consider (if on PP) is placeing insured bets on anything shorter than e/w friendly.

Any stats to show how you'd have done if just gone in blind and place a €10 win on each of his runners ?
    Or a €5 each way ?

    Thanks
