Middle name - Aer Lingus

Apologies if this has been asked before, did a search and couldn't find it.

Travelling to Spain on Saturday and one of our party had to get a new passport as he lost his old one, he received the new one today. The thing is his old passport didn't have his middle name on it (so I booked the flights without his middle name) but his new passport does...will this need to be changed with Aer Lingus and will they charge the full name change fee?

    Thanks!

In my humble opinion there is no problem whatsoever.

Most people do online checkin. When dropping a bag
the Aer Lingus staff or their agents only look at the
surname and ONE christian name before issuing a bag tag.

At security and boarding it is similar.

THEY ARE NOT AS PICKY AS YOU MAKE THEM OUT TO BE.

If you are still fussing, ask Aer Lingus customer service by email
    or phone.

Won't be a problem at all, once the first and last names match

I fly with Aer Lingus all the time.
My middle name is on my passport and I never put it on my bookings and no one has ever batted an eyelid.
    There will be no problem.
