Looks like Wolf tools have gone bankrupt due to dealing with Lidl.

Its a long shot as I see no posts here for quite some time!!! Did anyone find a source of spares for Aldi Powercraft compressors. Mine is pretty useless now due to a badly leaking valve. Aldi themselves are NO help.

if it's one of the quick connections you can unscrew them and replace them yourself. I think they may be a diferent design to normal airline fittings so bring it with you to the shop.

If it is different and your using all the ALDI/LIDL hoses and tools you may have to blank off that connection now if the shop doesn't have the correct fitting

Aldi/Lidl connectors are different to the PCL connectors used by everyone else, the threads in them should all be standard though.

Go to a pneumatic tool specialist like Air Impact and you'll get spare connectors or replacements for any other valves in the system.

If its outside the 60 day aldi warranty then you have to contact the helpline directly , after this its outside aldi,s control. It clearly says this on all electrical /motorised goods. You can't blame aldi . At this stage everybody must know this.

If its within 3 year warranty and you have your receipt then ring them and ask them to collect it to repair or replace rather than fix.

    Hope this info helps

    Thanks all for replys!!
The valve is the one-way valve through which the air is pumped into the tank. It sits on the top of the tank close to the outlet. In the manual they term it the "unilateralist valve" The casing is split and air leaks, almost matching the compressor output. It is made of what looks like brass but I doubt it!!

Any merit in suggesting throwing it into the skip it was born to go into and buying a decent compressor? And yes, i've had one, and yes, they are made of chewing gum. And yes, at first they are brilliant. And yes, you do get what you pay for.

If you use it a fair bit and use air hungry tools get the best you can afford with a 100l tank and around 3hp/14cfm at least. There's been some threads in the past on this in here and the main motors forum plus there's some competitive tool suppliers here.

Indeed I never expected a high quality machine!!! All its used for now are a few light jobs every month - my car tyres, cleaning bits and pieces.
I reckon if I could get a non-return valve it would do a turn for me yet!!

    Any suggestions please ??

I have one of these compressors as well and like all the others leaked at the quick coupling area .Rather than throw it out I did a diy repair by cutting approx 3 inches of 3/8 copper tubing and hammering it into the trimmed quick coupling and guage ends and held in place by a good application of Araldite epoxy in the red and white tubes, so far after 12 months its still holding

Couplings are not the problem. It's the non-return valve through which air from the compressor flows into the tank. In the manual diagram it is called the "unilateralist valve" which I suppose means the same thing. It's split open, made from "monkey metal" I believe. I just need to replace it if I could find one!!

Aldi can say what they want but the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act over rules their policy. If you have a proof of purchase and it's been a reasonable time then the shop you bought it from has to deal with you, by saying call the help line they are acting illegally as a warranty is an addition to your rights.

The valve will be a generic item so if you do some searching on pneumatic supply sites you should be able to find one, try European ones.

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement for the airline connectors,
seem to be made of cast iron. Very bad quality alright.
or if anyone has a spare one that they cant fix, I could buy it off them.

Drill it out, tap a new thread for a standard coupling and away you go. That's not terminal - the head non-return valves are a bit more of a faff to fix tho. or bung in some 1/2 copper as said above, it isn't huge pressure, 100 psi max, so no need for HD job.
