Using your gun in the garden

Right, so as in the other post, I have just bought a couple of guns.

It will probably be a while before I stark skirmishing, so need to get my thrills by doing some target practice in the garden.

My garden isn't exactly closed off, but it's not highly visible either. My only real concern is rebounding bbs. I would like to come up with a setup that will limit or remove entirely the danger of bbs flying into the neighbours garden (where children may be at play).

I have an idea of what I would like to do...... no idea how to do it.

Large wooden box. Approx 40inch in height and width, about 15/20inch deep. A foam back on the inside (to slow/protect the bbs and allow for re-use).
I would like the front to be split into 9. So two beams going vertically and horizontally. Perfectly measured to allow 9 A4 target sheets to be slotted in somehow. This is where I am failing to envisage. I cant figure what to use to achieve this.
Perhaps wooden beams and a staple gun would do the trick?

btw, if someone knows of something similar that can be purchased online let me know. Not one of those cheap bb traps that you see. From what I have seen they only work with low powered fps guns and are pretty small as well.

Also, if other people have decent set ups let me know what you have done too..... I could be way off.

    First off welcome to airsoft.

Maybe it would be a better idea simply not to fire your airsoft guns while there's kids playing next door.

Also even if you do put foam in the back of the box I really wouldn't recommend reusing them.

And I can't really help you with your project as I don't really know what your stuck on. Can you just not figure out how to put the dividing slots in? Personally I'd just screw them together.
Or you could just get 9 A4 sized boxes and screw them together....

will i use a large tick towel ie beach towel with a target taped to it + i fire from inside my house into garage so no one see or even hears me (tbh im in the curragh so no one cares) and that works out fine for me...

Just a bit of advice, tell all your neighbours that you have airsoft guns. If you don't, and they stick a head over the fence and see an M16 they might get a bit worried.

Also, be weary of the noise. If there are Children near you, an AEG going off can quickly become annoying to a (non-initiated) parent.

And, about the BB trap, like has been said, a Beachtowel is a good option. But make sure it is not Tightly pulled, or there is a risk of puncture. f you let it hang loose, the BB's will just fall into the towel, instead of bouncing off it like a trampoline.

But, if you plan to reuse BB's, don't. If you re-use a shot BB in an AEG there is a greater risk of the BB failing and doing damage to your gun. My rule is, have new BB's for the AEG, and have a bottle of Re-claimed BB's for the pistols (do not have a risk of failing(or at least a marginal one))

With an income of, oh, lets see now, €0 a week, I try to avoid money leaving my pockets as much as possible

That's pretty reasonable advice all right..... I'll try to stick to it.

Well, as long as they're not deformed/warped they there is no problem re-using them right? And I figured a foam back (maybe sides too) would prevent that.

Basically its the "slots" for the A4 sheets. Stapling sheets in seems pretty crude.
And I guess what I was looking for was further ideas....and wondering what others had set up.

Ya, I'll be firing from inside the house too, or at least from the back door.... not into a garage though, that will still be outside.
Big beach towel is a good idea.

Ya, should probably do that. Especially since the neighbours don't like us much :)

hmmm, okay... ill think on that. I don't have a pistol though. Will have to buy one just to use the second hand bbs :D

It's better to just not reuse them at all. Sure you can get three thousand of them for less then a tenner!
