Does Ronan Keating's words mean even less....

....just wondering if people gave it a second taught. After Keating's recent marriage "problems" (the problem being he wanted to invite a younger girl into his bed) that made national headlines in Ireland, I was wondering if his word's and his songs had even less of a meaning.

The reason I ask is that there's this new BBC2 series called 'Reunited' started with Ed Byrne, and in the pilot episode, they used Boyzone's 'Better' during the scene in which the old flame and the recently engaged guy sort of "hook up" and I was wondering if this was done because of what happened Keating recently, or just a coincidence

So I taught, does it sting a little that Keating sings this ****, and then cheats on his wife of 13 years and kind of hurts his kids as well

Better is a Tom Baxter song.

I personally think everyone is entitled to make a mistake and if it takes a third party to act as a catalyst in forcing two people to admit they dont love each other any more, then so be it. most things end badly, otherwise theyd never end. you've far too much to think about, if your pondering the song meanings of ronan keating. over half of all marriages end in seperation, so why are you so pissed because ronan keating falls into this huge category??? I think the people on this forum think way too much about celeb break ups.

Ronan should take a long look in a short mirror.
The only language he and his buddies know is Ka Ching.(Money)Look at the way they are cashing in on death of their best friend Stephen Gately, it disgusts me.
And I hate all these "Celeb" Threads. Sickens me, especially when there are real people dying from malaria in Africa, today.

The words in those songs are only what they are, to get emotional 12 year old girls to buy the cd's.. there's no actual meaning.

He's a peddler of maudlin dross regardless of whose boyzone he was in.

Did his words ever mean anything?

You think they wrote the songs?! Oh bless..

Doesn't the little monkeyboy not even write his own songs? If so then they're hardly "his words" to begin with.

You wouldn't want to get hung up on what anyone sings. They're just songs. I was going around Tesco recently and Bryan McFadden's Real To Me song came on. I had a quiet chuckle to myself.

And then of course you'll have now openly gay male singers singing love songs about girls, philanderers with songs about person they love etc etc. You get the picture.

"Words" is a Bee Gee's song.

In Beck's 'Loser', he claims that in the "time of the chimpanzee", he "was a monkey", yet everyone clearly knows that he isn't a monkey.

There is a certain thing in any artform, called inventiveness, which allows the artist to create characters, events & places. If every artist simply created art - or in this case, song lyrics - based purely on what was happening in their lives, then you would have a lot of very dull songs about people having cornflakes for breakfast on a Thursday morning & how big a poo they had at lunch time.

Having said that - and as already pointed out - Keating is not even an artist, unless you put him in the "performing artist" bracket, along with karaoke stars & performing monkeys.

Which brings me back, nicely, to monkeys - maybe Beck's song was about actually about Ronan Keating.... "I'm a loser baby, so why don't you kill me?"

I was wondering if his word's and his songs had even less of a meaning.

I'm fairly sure the only meaning behind Keating and boyzone's wrist-slittingly atrocious showband muck cover versions is to line the pockets of Loius Walsh with even more money.

As for Keating's marriage - its on the rocks when the publicist says it is, in order to generate more headlines.

And here I am giving out about it, thereby adding to it. Dagnammit. Cant win.

Beck also sang " you cant write if you cant relate ". Perhaps he was singing about Ronan Keating after all.

Great singer, dumb guy.He shouldn't have gotten married so fast so young in that business.
And people who sing the words they sing barr that singer who sang about his cheating gf and she did a song back. Now they were singing who they are lol:D And people who believe actors are their characters from movies or men and women who sing songs romantically actually are like what they sing or act, must be delusional.:p

What was that song again anyone?
