    Hi all.
I've being playing the bagpipes for several years now. I'm just wondering if there is much demand for pipers at events such as funerals, weddings, opening buildings/monuments etc? I'd love to maybe do some work in this area part-time or possibly full time.

Honestly, in all my years the only event I've had pipers on is St. Patrick's Day Parade! That's not to say there isn't a demand every now & again though!

I would suggest you contact a couple of the agencies out there and get your name on their books. Also, log onto www.weedle.com and set yourself up a profile as a piper and then you'll show up in Google searches if someone should ever have the need.

    Best of luck!

Thanks for that. Is there any particular agency in Ireland that you would recommend?
