Being a Serial Killer

Big into Dexter right now and I find it more fascinating that Lost. Anyway was just wondering if there's anyone here that would find it morally acceptable to be a serial killer as long as you're only killing baddies. Say I was, would you consider me a hero or an ant-jesus?

I knew Our Lord would come again, but he's aiming pretty low if he's back as a mere ant.

    Depends what you consider "baddies".

I just finished watching an episode of season 4 where it get's really good and immediately saw this thread on AH! I don't think I could pull it off, I'd probably end up ballsing it up and getting caught!

Let's say someone who has murdered and is likely to do so again. Or alternatively, you could take everything into account and decide whether they make the world a happier or sadder place on balance. For example.

Yay, a fellow Dexter-dork! Yeah season 4 totally rocks. Awesome twists at the end. He makes it look so damn easy though...

I'm probably coming across as some hardman internet type queer, but if killing someone who I didn't personally know saved more lives than just 1, I would feel the end justified the means.

Ant Jesus - Half Ant and half saviour, son of a virgin Ant and the Ant god...... This show should be syndicated..... :D

This topic is basically like the discussions about whether we think Vigilantes are good or bad, because they claim to try to clean up the street by targetting criminals, but at the same time the tactics they use are questionable. Personally I really couldn't care less if there was a serial killer killing other serial killers or something around those lines.

Go look in the prison forum and take em down. Todays serial killer needs to be tech savvy and capable of tracking people down.

Serial killing is an excellent pastime.

    Thoroughly commendable

I think I might kill off this thread.

    Dexter Season 4 ending, spoiler;
Stuff happens. Someone dies. Dexter's sister is still hot. Cannot believe that he was allowed to marry her in real life though - the Civil Partnership Bill in America must be really f*cked up. John Lithgow. No there's an actor. Hasn't changed a bit since 3rd Rock from the Sun. Except for the killing bit. I think I'll make some tea.

Yeah if it were real life he wouldn't get away with it quite so easily. You just know a series of coincidences would lead him to get caught eventually.

Lost was one of the worst series on TV ever.... started off great, then just turned to poo. Oh, the island has moved, oh we're all dead, except we're not, oooh, watch out for the "smoke monster".

And it had more drawn ot "goodbye" scenes than Lord of the feckin Rings.

OP, Dexter is clearly an allegory for a homosexual man who is in the closet and living a lie.

As such have you considered that you may not actually have any real murderous feelings and that the rage you feel is actually centred around your desire to smoke pink cigars on a regular basis?

If there was an Irish Bay Harbour Butcher I would applaud him and love as much as love Batman if not more.
Because feck you Gandalf, some people do deserve to die!

I reckon LOST was penned by some person who taken years to perfect it, when it was translated to TV it only spanned to one season....it was a hit...queue the generic studio writers to string it out to the saps for as long as possible.

Dear LOST, If you want to end a show epically I suggest you speak to David Chase.

And what an apt name you have for a serial killer.

Quite discreet, yet in your face...

    So... a serial killer?

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test
