how to speed up youtube in iphone 3g

    hi i have an iphone 3g running os4 and youtube and veoh playback is really slow (could barely watch a short clip) i'm using netgear wnr2000 router on wpa2 ch12. i tried to tweak the settings but no improvement tried putting it on 54mbps and 145 mbps but no difference on speed. safari is ok its just the videoplayback that's the problem

    i hope someone here could help me

    I have this problem as well and I haven't found anything to fix it. I've been using two different routers in the past few months, and that doesn't seem to be the problem. It's very slow on 3G as well.

    Try this.

    open safari.
    In the address bar type in "m.youtube.com"
    hit enter.

    enjoy much faster youtube.

    as eirekill suggested, m.youtube.com (youtube's dedicated mobile site) is supposed to be faster and better quality (over 3G at least) than the youtube app. It's done using HTML5 rather than Flash. Worth a go.

    yep and just relaunched today! looks and works great! good quality too!

    The site looks different depending on your iphone's OS.
    My 3G looks alot better on IOS3 than my 3GS on IOS4.
