Belturbet Railway and Vintage Restoration Association

We are currently restoring a original Cavan and Leitrim Railway cattle wagon and we are looking for a Axle,Weels,Axle box and Leaf Springs for the wagon.

As these were all removed from wagon when the railway close in 1959.

If anybody can help locate or suggest were we can find any of these items it would be of great help. I'll attach a photo of a one of these (not our wagon)to give people a idea of wat we are looking for, pritty much its all the metal under the wagon.

Not going to get many replies in history so I'm going to move this to transport and leave a re-direct, title changed slightly because it needed to be edited and was too long. Mod.

Rubbish; every Irish bar has to have a spare 4 wheel wagon on the window. It's a well known fact that the Fiddling Priest in Krakow has a full scale County Donegal station in it's snug, complete with red vans full of kippers and Margo records :D

I think Bord na Mona still have narrow gauge trains so maybe they might have spares you need. The Donegal railway got a coach repaired at Whitehead RSPI works, so maybe they could help, apparently they cast things there in a foundry.

One of our members saved it from a building site in cavan town a few years back.

Contacting RPSI would be a useful exercise ok. Lots of info on their website. http://www.rpsi-online.org/

What about contacting Bord NaMona and see if something they have can be adapted?
