    Mine was The Matrix.

I actually bought the DVD before I owned a player. What an introduction that was! It was just the perfect film for the job, jaw was on the floor!

Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Still love the Lego Knights in the extras! :D

Mine was either Holy Grail also or the Fellowship of the Ring. Mostly because I really liked the bookends LOTR_Fell078_PillarsoftheKi.jpg

Starship Troopers. (It was a goddam flipper as well!)

Also remember getting a lot of Warner Brothers DVD at the time. They were noteable because they came in a rather unique cardboard case with plastic clips. Crappy boxes and no DVD extras on them but it was still a step up on VHS! :)

October 2003, Stuart Little 2 featuring a mouse on a skateboard. I bought the DVD player first and I only realised at the time I had nothing to play on it. Chicken and egg. And about two months later I read the original book by E.B.White.

    Backdoor Sluts 9. :D

It made Crotch Capers 3 look like Naught Nurses 2! It is the single most disgusting, twisted piece of porn ever made.

I think i bought the Michael Collins dvd. It was double sided but not because of the extras. You had to flip it half way though the film....

Rocky Horror Picture Show. Didn't even have a DVD player, but a laptop with a DVD drive.

Can also remembering renting movies *and* a player from Xtravision before then, you'd rent 5 or 6 movies and watch them all just to make the rental of the player worth it.

Analyse This. It has two sides on it (think widescreen version on the other side). :)

    Save The Last Dance :P

In my defence, I was 11.

I actually caught a little bit of it on TV a few months ago and it wasn't quite as horrific as I had convinced myself it was.
