Saw this earlier on Eurosport, and though it might be of interest here:

First time I've ever seen a 'shooting' commercial on a non-specialist-shooting channel.

there not required at issf events world cups ,etc .

none of them ever handled a shotgun before . pity they did not get two actual competitors to do the add .

charlotte kerwood ,would be a ideal choice

They look computer generated to me, not actors.

They're not required by the ISSF regulations. The local range rules can trump those and make them required.

And most of the top level shooters seem to ignore the whole required/not required bit completely and wear them because they can help with contrast.

There's another version of it without all the Terminator HUD graphics, I'll see if I can grab it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,038 ✭✭✭✭Sparks

That's a shame, the graphics were what made it.
Show the version with and without graphics to anyone under the age of 30, and I can guarantee which one would catch the attention!

she also drops her head into the stock as she mounts ,pity they did not use a shooter .

Perhaps true (though I'd say it doesn't matter from the point of view of showing off the sport), but they did at least focus on the sport rather than her breasts or buttocks.
Can't say that about 99% of shooting adverts which use non-shooting models, including the adverts designed by shooters.

    Here's the vanilla version:

Just noticed, the people who made them have the first one up too, in HD!:

    And there's another one:

I like that second one. If I had a euro for everytime the ICPSA guys had to explain that no, they don't shoot at actual birds...

Great to see these commercials developed. I wonder where they are being shown, eurosport?

Yep, that's where I'm seeing them anyway.
I have to suffer through a lot of stuff from some bike race somewhere (in HD!) in order to see them, but it's worth it. :D

BIG stage today, including the Col du Tourmalet, with lots of controversy/politics yesterday and overnight!
