need help

don ramo

so i just finnished the wire there last night, excellent show BTW,

so im now bored and have a decision to make, i have 2 shows to watch season 1 of true blood, or i have a few seasons of rescue me, i leaning more towards rescue me, as i think true blood may be a bit to much drama and angst and probably more aimed at the oppostie sex,

am i wrong, is ture blood a good show to watch for a 26 year old man, or does the story appeal to a wide audience,

No angst in True Blood - definitely not your 'typical' vampire programme, I think it is definitely good show to watch, male or female.

Got fed up of Rescue Me around season 3 or 4 and didn't go back to it.

True Blood is brilliant,it is not some Twilight type woman's show with angst as you mentioned. One thing I will say is the first 2 or 3 episodes are not really that great,in fact the first episode is pretty crap. But after that it really gets going and is a great watch.

Rescue Me's 4th season was by far its' weakest and probably put quite a few people off. Season 5 put things back on track and season 6 (only two episodes in so far) is shaping up nicely - I'd definitely recommend it, it can be very funny at times and Denis Leary's Tommy Gavin character is one of the most f***ed up characters ever... so if you like "antihero" characters, you'll enjoy it.

That said OP, True Blood is pretty awesome and only keeps getting better. Given that there are only < 30 episodes of True Blood in total, I'd say you'll burn through them very quickly (especially since every episode ends on a cliffhanger ) so you could always pick up Rescue Me after that...

33 year old bloke...no interest in vampire stuff normally but True Blood is fantastic. One word of warning. If I remember correctly, its only from episode 4 onwards that it really becomes excellant (unless that is the Sopranos-Just finished series one). It can be a very funny show with really good effects for a tv show. Let us know how u get on!

Also it include Anna Pauqiuns knockers pretty much every episode!:)
