The official one is for Wireless B/G networks - most networks are B/G at the minute

The 3rd party one is the same as the official one, but it isn't official. There could be problems, Microsoft will not help you with them.

The black Wireless N is for Wireless B/G/N - N is the successor to G, like G was for B. In order for a wireless adapter to work at N speeds, the wireless network much be an N network (i.e. your router should support N). If it doesn't, get the B/G one and save some money.

Look up the differences between 802.11b, 802.11g and 802.11n on Google for more information. Look up your router model on the internet to see if it supports 802.11n :)
