Help with Transport!!!

Hey. I'm going to see Bret Easton Ellis in Galway on the 19th of July, I'm coming from Dublin.

I'm looking to get home on the day though. Going to Galway on the Train. Does anyone know of any buses coming back from around 8pm or later (the talk is on at 6)...or am I stuck in Galway for the night.

Any help would be great

bus eireann last bus at 8.30pm

irish rail train to athlone at 10.15pm and get gobus or citylink bus to dublin from athlone

Last bus from Galway is the Bus Eireann departure at 8.30, miss that and you would have to wait for the 00.30 Citylink or stay the night.

Don't do that, GoBus do not stop at Athlone and there are no Citylink departures until 2.40am.

Thanks guys.

So one is leaving at 8:30 pm, that's great. Any idea if the depature point is anywhere near the Hotel Meyrick, which I believe is near a train station if that helps.

I'm oblivious to all things Galway lol

The Bus Eireann bus station in Galway is right beside the Meyrick. It and the railway station are the same building.
