    OK.I remember the student election campaigns earlier on during the year,but I do recall one of the candidates (who is now the President) was really full of it,he had dollar bills handed out with his face on it,and the people that canvassed for him were almost fanatical.I walked from the Boole Basement with one minion heckling me all the way to the ORB.
    I have met him face to face,and to be quite honest he makes me puke.IMO he is really fake and pretentious.I read his introductory email as the New President.

    What are people's thoughts on him?

    IMO he is playing the student politico thing with a view to becoming a full time politician for the Labour Party in the long run. Expect him to run for USI officer elections after the SU pres gig as he climbs the rungs.

    Any idea what his background is? I do know he was in Bruce College.

    I just thought he was a bit too desperate to win it just to stay in college. Didn't vote for him and glad that I won't be there having to put up with him!

    He went to Christians on Patricks Hill as well afaik.

    Arra he's grand, seems passionate about the job anyways, whatever his reasons. That email is hilarious though, didn't read it til I saw this thread.

    I pretty sure nothing could convince me that he's not a bit of a prick, and as time goes on he reminds me more and more of Van Wilder, but the level of bad-mouthing aimed at him on here and elsewhere is a bit bewildering. He's only the fecking SU President, just ignore him.

    I've had a dealing with him in the past and he was accomodating and helpful. Seems like a sound bloke.

    Meh, can we at least wait until he has started the job properly and actually done something before judging him? And I really don't see the point of having a thread to make personal remarks or talk about where he went to school etc.
