    Hi
I’ve been using Illamasque full coverage foundation since they set up shop here but they've recently done a huge over haul and discontinued my shade and replaced it with 2 others ....the problem is they Dublin branch is pretty slow at getting products in and I’m almost totally out of foundation!! :(
Could someone please please recommend a full coverage (or almost full coverage) foundation for me? I’ve a wedding to go to Friday fortnight and I’m beginning to panic at the thought of photo’s

Have you tried revlon colourstay foundation? It provides full coverage so it will cover your blemishes/redness, it looks natural makes your skin look very smooth and pretty much flawless

i got married in rome a couple of years ago and was doing my own make-up so wanted a foundation that had full coverage and would last all day, after much research, i went with chanel pro lumiere and i find it fantastic - great coverage and it stays on all day

it is a little pricey but worth it as the bottle lasts for ages

    LA ROCHE POSAY
Fond de teint correcteur fluide (Thats exactly the text on the tube)

€18 - €24 Depending on the chemist, you will find it at selected chemists only.
(Not the big brand name ones we all know, but most others do it)
Shade no 11 is the best.
It covers everything so you start with a blank canvas for the rest of you make-up.

    Hope this helps!

I second revlon colorstay. Great coverage and very buildable, so it can look sheer if you want it to as well. It's hard to blend or spread so use a good primer.

bobbi brown stick foundation - you can build up as much cover as required
Estee lauder double wear works great for some - i personally found it quite hard to blend

I <3 Estee Lauder Double Wear, really long wearing and full coverage.

Vichy Dermablend! It's formulated especially for people with minor skin problems such as hyperpigmentation, minor scars, etc. so as you can imagine it's got great coverage and will not budge all day!

foundation is available in either fluid or stick. Personally I'd go for the fluid as I've tried both and found it's easier to blend.

Estee Lauder Double Wear all the way - I've used 'pale almond' for years and it really is the best bar none.

I second this, havent got the greatest skin and it gives great coverage. Definately go for the fluid one, much easier to use and blend

Estee Lauder - Double Wear also gets the thumbs up from me. I wouldn't wear it on a daily basis as it would be too heavy, but for day to night wear its exceptional. I've used 'pebble' for about 9 years now - replacing the bottle about once a year.:)

It all depends on what kind of skin you have too. I have oily/combi and the only thing that actually stays on my face is chanel double perfection. It's a cream to powder foundation and you only need the tiniest amount. I'd suggest you get yourself to a few make up counters and ask for samples, try them and home and pick one you like.

I like the 'Clinique Anti Blemish' and 'Clinique Superfit' foundations.

They are pricey though, €28 euros for a 30ml bottle. Then again, it depends on how long the bottle will last, esp with everyday use.

Currently I use the 'Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish' foundation compact and while it is good, personally, I find it heavy so going to change.

Estee Lauder Double Wear is good too, but it just doesn't suit my skin, it brought me out in spots/blemishes.

Clarins Truly Matte is also good, but again, it just doesn't suit my skin. It brought me out in spots/blemishes.

Maybelline New York Dream Matte Mouse is also good, but personally, I find it a bit heavy.

As pointed out by another poster, it depends on what type of skin you have. I have oily/combination skin, so not all products suit my skin type. What works for me, may not work for you. The only way to find out, it to go to a proper skincare/make-up counter have a skin-consultation and find out what your skin-type is (if you don't already know that is lol) and then look at some foundations which suit your skin type. Ask for samples of foundations and only that way will you find out what you like and what works with your skin.

I have to say Estee Lauder Double Wear as well, as mentioned above make sure you moisturise before and use primer as well, if not can be hard to blend but really really lasts. ;)

Mac full coverage foundation (that's what it's called!).
You can wear a little or a lot depending on how much you need. I switched to this as I found the other Mac foundations never lasted on me the full day at work.
I have normal to dry skin and this didn't dry it out at all, unlike most other long wear foundations I've tried, but might not be the best for oily skin.

I also second the Bobbi Brown foundation stick, not quite as long lasting but really easy for touch ups.

Aw thanks for the replies girls, your all stars :o Sounds like EL foundation is the front runner! I going to head after work and check it out. My problem is Ive an oil slick for a face + some active acne + hyperpigmentation!!! I require a lot from my foundation, and so far Illamasque is the only one that has dont the job. Hopefully EL or Chanel's foundation will be just as good.
    Thanks again girls :D

Sorry for intruding on your posting OP but Pipsie Pie, where do you get your MAC full coverage. I loved it when I used it - it lasted all day long!! I thought Brown Thomas stopped it a while back and I've been trying to find it everywhere!

Oh I know the feeling OP! I used to love Clinique Dewy Smooth until they discontinued the lighter shades. I've tried a few since and I would recommened Estee Lauder Double Wear 100%. Suits my skin (Normail - oily chin) and really lasts well. Use a tiny bit with moisturiser or primer for medium daytime coverage and a little bit more for night time full coverage. I'm sure they'd give you a sample application to wear to try out if you're unsure!

I third revlon colourstay. Don't go near the body shop, their foundation is horrendous and really quite expensive.
