My car does not exist !!! ???

I have just finished getting a car back on the road and in top nick, I sent a request to the NCT centre for a booking date and the keep coming back to me to say that the car does not exist !!!

I know it exists as the feckin' tax man has just taken the gut of a grand off me for the disk, I have the original reciept of where the VRT was paid in 2004, and the previous tax discs !

I don't think the car was NCTed previously as the previous owner had it sitting up for 3 years and prior to that it wasn't really driven much.

What do I do now, the numptys I get to speak to on the phone keep asking me to check the reg to make sure I am not making a mistake?

You need to register the car with the NCT, from memory you can do this over the phone with the VLC/log book.

If its a Japanese import then there are a rake of cars that the Irish systems havent a clue about.

you need to fax a copy of the VLC to the NCT head office with a little note asking them to put it on their system. then in a few days you can make the booking.
