taking a percentage of 2nd year grade

Hey,
can anyone help me here?
I remember reading before that you can take a certain percentage of your second year grade to go towards your final degree. I can't find where I read it now...
Does anyone know how this works/who you go to to sort this out? I did better in second year than third, and I've one to repeat in August so this would help me out a lot if it's true!

It's done automatically if it helps your grade, if your degree is 3 years long I think. If it's 4 years the same happens with your 3rd year results. You don't opt to do it yourself.

It's 30% and is only applied if it improves your final degree result!

The final year subject mark will incorporate, where relevant, the penultimate year mark weighted at 30%, applied only to the student’s advantage.

What does 'weighted at 30%' mean?
Do they swap 30% of your 2nd year mark for 30% of your 3rd year mark?

Yeah it means they multiply your penultimate year grade by 30% and your final year accounts for 70% of your degree result.
