reduced working week

    hi
    i was hoping some one could help me. i work 3 twelve hour shifs but because of a temporary down turn in production we are being made to reduce our working week down to two twelve hour days.

    i am a 30 year old single male but am wondering how much am i entitled too on the dole if anyone knows

    I've never been on the dole so I don't really know its workings all that well but aren't you only qualified for jobseekers allowance if you're actively searching work?

    It wouldn't be job seekers you would be entitled to, as you are retaining some income, but i would suggest going to your local social welfare office and finding out if you are entitled to income support. Considering its a 33% reduction in hours (and presumably income) you should have entitlement here.
