To complement the "2010: The Story So Far" thread, I thought we might have a look at what is coming up for the rest of the year.

    For me I'm looking at:

    Best Coast
    Philip Selway
    Toro Y Moi
    The Lower Dens

    Anything you're particularily excited about?

Return of Klaxons, Interpol & Arcade Fire mainly. I wonder with the way Radiohead have been talking if they'll manage to get their new album out before the years end, maybe a quick surprise like In Rainbows.

Since you mention Best Coast, they do more for me on record than live so I'm curious to hear their album. If The Joy Formidable & Hot Sprockets get albums out this year then I'm looking forward to see if they turn out well.

Keep forgetting about Arcade Fire, I think the single has the potential to grow on me but I'll probably just wait for the album and see what happens with that.

Radiohead would be great if they get it out before years end. No middle men these days really so I'd say they may well do so. If they tour they better not play here during May, college finals will almost defintely preclude me going and I'm not having that happen again!

Next month is going to be just awesome :DI'm really looking forward to the new Arcade Fire album. And also the new Autolux album Transit Transit which is out on the 3rd of August. It's been 5 years in the making.

Other than those i'm just looking forward to discovering some great albums from fresh new bands.

At the moment I'm most looking forward to Enemies at Whelan's next month. Got 'we've been talking' the other day and it's ridiculously good.

I've been listening to a crummy version of Transit Transit, and I don't know if it's just the quality of the rip or if it's just my own impossible expectations, but I'm a little underwhelmed thus far. Willing to give it time to grow, but it hasn't blown me away.

There's a few poor quality leaks floating around at the moment. I've only heard a couple of the new tracks but i'm gonna wait until the album is actually released. I've seen people posting on various forums and message boards saying that the new album is better than Future Perfect, which i really hope is true! Future Perfect took a while to grow on me so maybe it will be the same case with Transit Transit.

Interpol. Even though I have a feeling it might not be the best album.

Panda Bear and, to a lesser extent, Arcade Fire and Interpol.

^ This, though Interpol is the one I'm most excited about.

The new M.I.A. album was one I was looking forward to, but I got that last week.
