Might be your experience TheDriver but I book through Hotels.com regularly and always get great prices (even with their service charge).

The last few I've booked:

Breaffy Woods Hotel, Castlebar - 2 Adults / 1 Night - £40.20 (next October)
Bewley's Hotel, Dublin Airport - 2 Adults / 1 Night - £45.76 (last month)
Bewley's Hotel, Dublin Airport - 2 Adults / 1 Night - £43.77 (last October)
Hotel Friends, Dusseldorff - 2 Adults / 3 Nights - £119 (last July)

Believe me when I say this crowd ARE the cheapest - Bewley's Airport were charging at least €70 for the same nights I booked. I can't recommend them enough!

I just realised when PM-ing my code to fmcattack that it's the same as the one in the OP, so it must be the same voucher code for everyone - with it only being valid with to the e-mail / account it's been sent to.
