Toilet flush-groaning

    When i flush the toilet in the house there is a groaning sound that occurs after the flush. the noise seems to be coming from the ball cock stem in the cistern as if air is escaping. Is there a part gone in it ? or a washer ? is it an easy fix ?? any help apprieciated.

    It depends on the mechanism in the cistern. Have you any pics of it?

    It sounds like water coming in the inlet valve. There is a couple of things that can be done but tbh if the noise is bearable i would live with it.

    if not you can look at changing the inlet valve to a silent type or aquasave.

    no pics taken might do alright thanks for the advice. the ball cock system is a plastic one and it seems as if air is coming from the top of the stem
