    Hi,

Apologies in advance if this is the wrong forum but read the reviews of BlackVPN here and decided to sign up this evening. All went well - I was supposed to receive my username and password in the invoice they send. Invoice received by email - but NO username or password. Now I can't contact them on their website as you can only submit a mail if you type in the code displayed on the screen (to stop spamming I imagine) but there's no code on the screen?

Thought these guys were totally legit. Have I just been had???

    Cheers

I signed up with them at the weekend with no issues. Got the username email about a minute after I got the invoice mail. Are you sure it hasn't gone into a spam folder on your email?

I got the invoice mail and the pdf invoice but it doesn't show my username or password anywhere. Was it clear on yours?

Yes, very clear but you should have got two separate emails. Invoice comes first, login details second.

Hoping their website contact section is working tomorrow and I'll see if I can contact them then. Shame . Was looking forward to iplayer goodness this evening...

I did that. Opened the mail in Thunderbird on my desktop. Opened the attached Invoice PDF and it has my details, Invoice #, Issue, summary, description price etc. but no username or password.

Problem solved. I reset my password and they resent username and password.

I signed up with BlackVPN last week, for the iplayer of course :D. Had no problems and they had prompt delivery of login details once i paid. I have also emailed about 10 times with technical questions and they have responded within hours to all the emails.

Only issue I had was that they send one email to your email address you used to sign up, and the second email goes to the email address associated with your PayPal account. In my case these were two different addresses. Would it be the same for you if you're missing the 2nd email?

Got it sorted in the end - there was a technical issue from their side. Got my username and password but they weren't working.

Credit where credit is due, their support team was prompt, courteous and an excellent example of turning a bad situation good.

It's a brilliant service. If anyone is interested in signing up they can get 2 months free by using my code - XKVXQWU. (Shameless plug!)

    Cheers

I am having trouble connecting BlackVPN on my iPad on my home Belkin N+ wifi. I can connected no problem on my work wifi and 3G.
I connected BlackVPN tech support and they said: It's most likely a firewall/router issue. PPTP needs TCP port 1723 and IP Protocol 47(GRE) allowed/forwarded to.
I opened TCP port 1723 but I have no idea about IP Protocol 47(GRE)???

    Anyone know anything about this?
