    Hi,
Is there any good sources of iPhone/Pad training and development in ireland?
Online course recommendations are also sought, so if you know of any I'd be very grateful.

Finally, what minimum MAC do I need to develop apps? I am starting this as a hobby and I'm not interested in spending too much up front. i'd be more interested in using an old 2nd hand MAC and put my money into training.

Finally, are there any good sources for 2nd hand MACs on the web?

    thanks,

    Brendan

iPhone training in Ireland is little and far between, there have been a couple of weekend workshops, but at 1500eur, I'm not sure its something I could recommend over getting a book or watching YouTube videos. Especially if you have any C/C++ programming experience before.

    The minimum Mac requirements are:

    * Intel Mac (2009 and later)

    * Latest version of Mac OSX (10.6.2 or later at this point)

So yes, you can purchase a second hand Mac to save costs, but since it wont be a very old machine, you wont be saving a huge amount since Apple hardware tends to keep its value much longer than most. I cant recommend any sources, but your typical classifieds (Adverts.ie, BuyAndSell) and auction sites (Ebay) will suit.
