TW's odds have dropped slightly from 4/1 down to 11/2 currently on PP.

    11/2 @ p.p. 7 places e.w. Is best available on tiger.
Should drift out a bit more on the wed as usual

If you fancy Woods wait till after the first round to back him.

i'm expecting ladbrokes to go big on Woods next week,i predict 6 or 7's,i don't think i'd wait till after the first round myself, this is not the Woods we know, the come from behind king....ooppps,i wouldn't back him but i think to compete he needs to start well on this occasion

I'd be more inclined to back him to miss the cut. St Andrews is one of the most exhausting courses mentally, and I just dont think that he'll handle it the way he is now. (watch that statement come back to bite me in the ass).
I'll be watching thetop 10 finishers this weekend, and picking someone from there as well as my usual loyal bets.

I'll gladly be your bookie Jim on that bet!

I'd actually rate St. Andrews as one of the easier courses on the Open circuit, I'd expect him to make a pretty good account of himself whether he wins or not.

He said this week that it's his favourite course in the world IIRC.

    I'd agree with this.

I've never played St. Andrews or been there either but from what I've seen on TV it looks very open, some of the fairways look huge. It's not particularly long either is it?

Watched him in Adare yesterday and hes striking it well, he also drove it well and kept it in play. His putting wasnt great though. Saw an interview he did today on TV after yesterdays play and he said the same, driving and striking it well but wasnt putting well at all. He usually plays links courses well though and can use his stinger 2 iron if the driver plays up. I have a sneaky feeling he'll be there or thereabouts at St Andrews this year.

Isn't that a bigger price not a drop
