Carlow - Vocalist required (Originals)

    Vocalist in Carlow required for original material. Must be either a pretty decent bassist or guitarist as well as a decent vocalist/lyricist. I know thats a tall order, but sure why not ....

    Age group - doesnt really matter, the other two involved are old men. Influences - music with a bit of balls: damned, stranglers, devo, pumpkins, pixies etc - though not really too worried about influences either.

    We want to write distorted, raw music combined with flowing melodious lyrics in a three piece format. Theres a drummer and a bassist/guitarist (depending on what the vocalist can play).

    We have rehearsal facilities plus the ability to record decently rough demos. The idea would be write material, play gigs online mainly as well as whatever showcases (HWCH, JD Live etc) and festivals we can manage to sneak into.

    This is a new project (we have a few others running at present).

    My name is Phil, I am 32 and I live in Gorey. I have been singing since I was 6 mainly Rock and some Gospel. I am told I have an excellent voice.
    I can also play the guitar-(Rhythm) and would rate my-self as good.
    I am eager to get involved again with a bang and hopefuly start gigin. I have lots of free time at the mo and am available for a trial/audition any time.     Hi phil - have you played and sang in a band before? We were really looking for someone as local as possible as most of the work would involve being in carlow itself. Ideally we'd need someone pretty good either on bass or as a full on guitarist, which would involve lead. Have you played much lead guitar?
