Does anyone now of an Irish company that supplies corner doors, the type that would close to form a 90deg corner then open away by either sliding or with a bi-fold type mechanism. Similar to that in the link below.

As they have been mentioned I hope it's ok to say for anyone else reading that I called them and they don't do this type of door.

    Any more suggestions. PM please

    Hi there,

The reason alot of companies do not want to supply this kind of door, is that it must to assembled on site and this requires a different type of fitting team, is time consuming and expensive.

The integration details of the building are critical as there is no support in the corner and the weight of the frame must be supported from the steel or lentil overhead.

In simple terms, one of the sliding doors will be built with an end to capure and lock the second door into it.

This kind of system is rated to carry sliding doors of upto 250kg.

The Lift Slide threshold that these doors slide on are low profile, this delivers that "inside outside feel" but it also means that there is no stopper (as it will be a trip hazard) at the end of the rail and there is a considerable danger that the primary, and very heavy door, can slide right off the end of the track if the user is not aware of this issue. This is a particular danger with children!!

However like in all things ... this is possible, all you need is the money and the willingness to accept the risks mentioned above in return for an open corner in your room.

PM me if you want more information.
