Hey I'll be going to Rome in a few days and need to find out about where I can buy tickets for use on the metro or trams?

Also, could someone tell me how you might use them.

    Thanks.

Hey. Generally you buy the tickets in a Tabacci (sp?). They are the shops that sell cigs, newspapers and things. You can buy your tram and bus tickets there too. Think they are about a euro.
The metro is simple to use in Rome. There is no where you can get lost! Termini is the main station, so you can link up anywhere with it. Colosseo=coliseum Most of the touristy spots are on the blue line. When you get there they also have pics up on the route map on the metro so if you can't speak Italian this can help. Honestly, everyone speaks English so don't be afraid to ask.

This post by Rebel10 is super, informative and illustrative.

In my humble opinion all one needs to do is arrive at any Metro station
in Rome go to a Kiosk/Automat and read the instructions.

As I type I am in Milan. That is what I did this morning on its Metro.

However Rebel10 has provided very good background information.
If the OP can recall all that or print it out.
