Query About Financial Support Over The Summer

Hi all, I was chatting with a mate last night, and he's under the impression that for those who were receiving a grant during the college year that there's some sort of financial support available during the Summer months. He's under the impression it's around €50 a week. I'm just wondering is this true, or just a myth?…
