Beaded insulation in Walls with a polystyrene board

    My parents house mid eighties build , in the cavity is polystrene boards i dont know what thickness etc, but is it possible to do beaded insulation in these walls , any help would be appreciated ??

    Yes it is possible, if it is a standard cavity wall construction. The drill hole pattern is different, as explained in each insulation manufacturers IAB Certificate.

    There are many threads on wall insulation, retro-fit merits & possible problems with poorly installed works etc.
    SEI offer grants for certain works, if your attic is re-insulated at the same time as your walls. Check their website for details.

    and are the beads bonded together , they may be getting windows changed in a few years so i dont fancy loosing a load of beads when this is done ??

    Yes, most of them are bonded. However you should make sure of this first as there quite a few different types of insulating bead on the market.

    I'll send you a PM with details of what I got done
