    The A1GP concept of the world cup of motorsport could be taken out of its current purgatory by the end of July, AUTOSPORT understands.

    A leading figure from the series, which collapsed ahead of its fifth season in 2009, claims to have put together a package with a group of investors that will get the series back on track in 2011.

    While it would be good to see A1 back up and running, I'm not sure it will be as good seeing as they're changing the business model of it.

    Didn't even notice it was gone tbh! Were Ireland not leading/close to leading the championship in 08?

    The whole series and its assets including cars are up for sale for $4 million approx. it was in Autosport a few weeks ago.

    We won the 08/09 championship by a country mile after Adam Carroll swept at Brands Hatch with two poles, and two race wins (pity only one fastest lap though :P)

    It was 80 million at the begining of the year..

    Also to the guy who asked Ireland won it last year.. The whole team were promised a fancy watch by A1 but they never came :(... Im not worryed about the drivers but more the guy who does the tires with out him they would of lost!!! its a lot of pressure that I wouldent be able to have..

    So emm ya up the pit crews
